New educational programs in public health at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY

Albert Einstein College of Medicine’s Center for Public Health Sciences announces two new educational programs in public health:

Master of Public Health

This 42-credit MPH program has an innovative focus on community-based research. The program emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches to addressing behavioral and social determinants of health with a focus on prevention of chronic conditions and health disparities, both locally and globally, through community engagement. Students can attend full time or part time.

Certificate in Public Health

This 11 credit program includes introductory courses in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, global health, and social and behavioral determinants of health. Students attend part time and complete the program over the summer and fall. Eligible students can apply the credits toward the MPH.

All classes are held at Einstein’s campus in the Bronx, N.Y.

Certificate program:  April 15, 2011
